The 1st ISPIM Innovation Symposium - Managing Innovation in a Connected World - will be held in Singapore on 14-17 December 2008. Organised by ISPIM together with Singapore Management University, this symposium will bring together academics, business leaders, consultants and other professionals involved in innovation management. The aim of this symposium is to stimulate discussion and connect people from different backgrounds and cultures. The format will include facilitated themed sessions for academic and practitioner presentations together with interactive workshops and discussion panels. As with all ISPIM events, this symposium will provide excellent networking opportunities together with a taste of local culture.


Symposium Subareas:

 

Academics and Practitioners are encouraged to submit papers/outlines and workshop/discussion topics related to the symposium theme including but not limited to the subareas listed below:

  • Collaborative R&D for innovation

  • Idea generation and creativity

  • Innovation policy

  • Measuring and managing innovation

  • Methods and tools for innovation

  • Networks and clusters of innovation

  • Open innovation

Symposium fee includes:
Entry to the Symposium, Delegate Pack and Badge, Symposium Proceedings CD, Book of Abstracts, Welcome Reception (Sunday), Dinner Cruise (Monday), Conference Banquet (Tuesday), Lunch & Refreshments during the Symposium.

Exhibition Area:

There will be a dedicated exhibition hall situated just off the main foyer with space available for 10 exhibition stands. Delegates will have to pass by this area during the coffee breaks and during the buffet lunch.

Two options are available for the exhibition area:

  1. Roll-up bannerstand (we will provide a table, chairs, electricity point and wireless Internet access)

  2. Pop-up lightweight stand with dimensions of about height 2m x depth 0.5m x width 2m (we will provide a table, chairs, electricity point and wireless Internet access)

The cost to book a space in the exhibition hall is SG$ 2160 (approx 1000) and all exhibitors will be entitled to register one delegate at the ISPIM members rate (a saving of SG$ 300 – approx 139) – please note that additional delegates will have to register at the full delegate rate unless they are already members of ISPIM. In addition, all exhibitors will be entitled to one free insert in the delegate packs and free use of the main display table. Additional inserts will be charged at the rates below.

Delegate Pack Inserts:

The cost to have an insert in every delegate pack is SG$ 2.16 (approx 1) per insert. All inserts should be sent directly to Singapore. If local printing is required this can be arranged at an additional cost. Contact symposium@ispim.org if you wish to take up this offer.
